Placo on the Table

Throughout time the Plaza, Piazza, Zocalo, Town Square has been central to life. Places for meeting, talking, courting, playing, sitting quietly. They are places of beauty, vibrancy, and tranquility. Places whose names are etched in our minds and hearts - Piazza del Duomo, Piazza San Marco, etc

Cube irregularity is central to Placo on the Table. Irregularity gives an added visual texture. Irregular cubes are more of a challenge to manipulate. It is necessary to think about how they fit together. They are a stark contrast to mass produced items which are "perfect" but without character. The cubes seem so imperfectly perfect.
